How Do You Take Corrections?

Proverbs 9:8- Do not rebuke mockers or they will hate you; rebuke the wise and they will love you.

Our theme text gives a scenario about two types of people and how they take corrections. One group hates corrections and He described them as mockers, caricaturists, etc. and the other group love it and appreciate it and he called them wise.

I think it is important for us to examine ourselves to reflect on how we take corrections. This will help us to see the category of people God equates us with when we frown at Godly and biblical corrections.

Remember, all scriptures are given for corrections amongst others. Therefore be wise and don’t become a caricature the next time that brother and sister corrects you and you know it was a good and biblical correction. Don’t hate your pastor or leaders because they corrected your behaviour in line with the word of God. If you do so, you will be making yourselves vulnerable to demons to come into you.

Be wise.
