LEAN NOT ON YOUR OWN UNDERSTANDING
Proverbs 3:5-6 -Trust in the LORD with all thine heart; and lean not unto thine own understanding. In all thy ways acknowledge him, and he shall direct thy paths.
In everything you do the Spirit of the Lord is always keen to help you. His ministry in your life is to help you, at one point he said through Isaiah If you will only let me help you, if you will only obey, I will make you rich. He knows all things and so you can be rest assured the sure guidance you require can come from him because he knows the future and what the person next to you is even thinking. Many times we find ourselves struggling on projects and aspects of our lives because we have shut him out of our lives. When the voice of the Lord is scarce, there is no Spiritual guidance and people can only but walk blind (Amos 8:11).
Job 32:8 says but there is a spirit in man: and the inspiration of the Almighty giveth them understanding. The inspiration you require should come from the almighty, don’t depend on statistical data or on previous experiences, let God inspire you. Don’t refuse a business venture because it is not working for others at the moment, walk in the leading of the Holy Spirit. The Spirit of the Lord is come to guide you into all truth (John 16:13). The key to David’s success as a king was strongly linked to his recognition of the place of God in his life. Many times he would inquire of the lord what to do and with this information he would act, this ensured he was always walking in the path that he should (1 Samuel 30:8).
Lean on Him for guidance; don’t just go about your day to day activities without his word to lead you. He is our comforter, a very present help in time of need and he is ever so keen to show you the path you should walk in. Proverbs 16:3 says commit your works to the lord and he shall establish your plans, victory is yours already because you have the Lord on your side so you let him lead you. Your understanding is limited at best; the large archives of study and reference materials out there in various libraries are limited at best. True guidance and inspiration comes from the Lord almighty.
